Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies

This simple appetizer is amazingly delicious, but it’s also so easy to make! They’re great for parties, tailgating, or as an appetizer for a special occasion. You can even make them ahead of time and keep them in your freezer until you need them. What could be easier? This is one of those party dishes everyone has come to expect in my home. They’re also the first thing gone.

Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies
These classic smokies are perfect for game day, entertaining, or as an appetizer for a special event. The best part is, there's hardly any work, and you can keep them warm in the slow cooker.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 325° F.
  1. Take a piece of bacon and wrap it around one of the cocktail wieners; secure with a wooden toothpick. Continue wrapping the remainder of the cocktail wieners with the bacon pieces. Place on a large, foil lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the brown sugar generously over the bacon wrapped wieners.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes, or until the brown sugar is melted and bubbly. Place the cooked wieners in a slow cooker; set on low.
Recipe Notes

I typically use Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies, but you can use any cocktail wiener that you prefer.

Make serving easy by letting guests serve themselves right from the slow cooker.

Make Ahead Tip:

Bacon wrapped smokies freeze beautifully. Wrap the smokies with bacon and place on a baking sheet. Freeze. When the smokies are frozen, place in a ziptop bag and store in the freezer until you need them. When you're ready to cook, simply place on a foil lined sheet pan, sprinkle with brown sugar, and bake at Preheat oven to 325° F. for about 40 minutes or until the sugar is melted and bubbly.
