1/2cupwater
Crumble Topping

1-1/3cupspacked brown sugar
1/2tspbaking powder
1/2tspbaking soda
1/2tspground cinnamon
1/4tspground nutmeg
3/4cupbuttersoftened
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Combine the sugar, 1 Tbsp flour, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp nutmeg in a large bowl. Gently toss in apple slices to coat.
Pour 1/2 cup of water into a 9" x 13" baking pan. Add coated apples directly on top of the water.
Crumble Topping
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the crumble topping, except the butter. Once the ingredients are thoroughly combined, cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly.
Using your fingers, sprinkle topping evenly over the apples.
Bake at 350° F for approximately 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
