Are you looking for something a little different that your typical breakfast fare? This French Toast, oozing with warm Nutella and sliced bananas, is the perfect breakfast for a lazy weekend or even a busy school day. It’s so easy to prepare and everyone will love it!

 
 

Banana Nutella French Toast

Ingredients:

1 cup whole milk or half-and-half
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons sugar
pinch of salt
8 slices of bread (day old works best)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 bananas
1/2 cup Nutella (adjust according to your own preference)
Confectioner's sugar for dusting, optional

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar and salt.
  2. Spread Nutella over 8 slices of bread; slice bananas on the diagonal and place slices on 4 of the Nutella bread slices. Top with the other slices of bread to make a sandwich.
  3. In a large skillet or on an electric griddle, melt half the butter. Dip one side of sandwich in the milk/egg mixture, turn to coat the other side. Let excess drain off and place sandwich on griddle. Repeat with the other Nutella and banana sandwich. Cook until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Remove from griddle; very carefully slice on the diagonal using a small serrated knife. Dust with confectioner's sugar and serve immediately.

How to Make Banana Nutella French Toast

All you need are some basic ingredients and your’e ready to kick up your breakfast to something that will put a little excitement in your morning. Yum!

Whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar and salt. Spread Nutella on all 8 slices of bread. Slice the bananas on a diagonal and arrange on 4 of the bread slices. Top sandwiches with another piece of bread. Carefully dip each sandwich in the milk/egg mixture, making sure both sides are coated. Hold the sandwich above the bowl and allow to drain off any excess mixture. Place on griddle and cook until both sides are a nice golden brown.
