Ingredients:
4 – 3 oz packages assorted Jello gelatin
6 envelopes unflavored gelatin, divided
5-3/4 c boiling water, divided
1 – 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 c cold water
Directions:
- Spray a 13″ x 9″ x 2″ dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl combine one package of the flavored Jello with one envelope unflavored gelatin. Stir in 1 c boiling water until all the gelatin is dissolved. Pour into the prepared baking dish and refrigerate about 20 minutes or until almost set, but not firm.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk with 1 c boiling water. Set aside. In another bowl, add 1/4 c cold water and sprinkle two envelopes of unflavored gelatin over the water; do not stir. Let sit for one minute. Stir in 3/4 c boiling water and stir to dissolve. Add the dissolved gelatin mixture to the milk mixture and stir to combine. This milk/gelatin mixture will be the white layer between each colored Jello layer.
- Gently spoon 1-1/4 c of the milk/gelatin mixture over the first layer of set Jello in the baking pan. Refrigerate until this white layer is set, but not firm; approximately 25 minutes.
- Repeat for the next flavored Jello layer. Alternate flavored Jello with the milk/gelatin layers, refrigerating after each layer just until set. Final layer should be a flavored gelatin layer.
- Refrigerate at least one hour until firm. Cut into 1 inch cubes. Serve.
