Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

I’ve been making these Roasted Cinnamon Sugar Pecans for many years. They are perfect for nibbling any time of the year, but in my home, they always make a special appearance at Christmas. In fact, these nuts have become such a popular treat during the holidays that friends and family start asking for them as soon as Thanksgiving rolls around! The pecans are coated with a cinnamon sugar mixture, then roasted to for a perfect crunch. Warning – these nuts are addicting!

I like to keep a pretty jar filled with these yummy pecans right on my kitchen counter; they look so beautiful, and it makes it so easy to grab a few when I want a little snack. Of course, you can fill a decorative tin or other container with Cinnamon Sugar Pecans and give them as gifts for teachers, friends, neighbors, or even as a much-appreciated hostess gift during the holidays. This is the jar I use (paid link). It looks wonderfully sitting on the counter, but it’s also perfect for gift giving, filled with Roasted Cinnamon Sugar Pecans, of course!

Cinnamon Sugar Pecans are super easy to make. If you have preteens in your home, this might be a great recipe to get them started on. They’ll have a wonderful sense of accomplishment! Of course, if you have younger kids, it’s still a great recipe for them to help with. The roasting you’ll have to do, but kids love to help coat the nuts and stir the cinnamon and sugar mixture together. My kids all loved making these yummy Roasted Cinnamon Sugar Pecans with me during the holidays.

Combine the cinnamon, sugar and salt in a small bowl. Beat egg white and a tablespoon of water in the mixer. Add pecans to the egg white mixture, stir to coat. Then add the cinnamon sugar mixture and stir until pecans are completed coated. Spread the pecans on a baking sheet; bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
